Jane:Suppose you have to do one of the two, which do you prefer?
Frank:I would rather do the dishes than cook.
Jane:I prefer the opposite. The way I see it, to do the dishes is boring.

We're planning to clean up the beaches.(我们计划清理海滩。)
还有一个词组“clean up after sb.”
用英语可以解释为:make a place clean after someone has used it,
例如:John always expects other people to clean up after him.(约翰总是想着让别人在他屁股后面收拾。)
例如:-I think we should split the bill.

(Fingers were made before forks.)
